Hagen Fire Update – Friday, August 7, 2026

 

The Hagen Fire is currently estimated at 42,699 acres and is 11% contained, with 781 personnel assigned to the incident.

 

Firefighters continue working around the clock to strengthen containment lines and limit fire growth. Overnight, spot fires crossed some indirect containment lines on the southeast side of the fire but were quickly surrounded by fire resources. Crews will continue working through the night to secure those areas. On the south side of the North Fork Umatilla River, firefighters are identifying locations to construct additional indirect containment lines closer to the active fire to help reduce the fire’s footprint.

 

Friday and Saturday are expected to bring near-critical fire weather conditions. While the fire area itself is not under a Red Flag Warning, the hot, dry, and windy conditions will still support increased fire activity and the potential for continued fire growth.
