NOTICE OF BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING

A public meeting of the Budget Committee for the Wallowa Union Railroad Authority, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026 will be held at the Wallowa Senior Center, 204 E 2nd Street, Wallowa, Oregon. The meeting will take place on the 13th day of May 2025 at 4:30 PM. The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comment from the public on the budget. A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained on or after May 7th at the Union County Commission Office, 1106 K Avenue, La Grande, or the Wallowa County Commission Office at 101 S. River, Enterprise between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM. This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. Any person may appear at the meeting and discuss the proposed budget with the Budget Committee.

Union County hosts quarterly implementation meetings for the Upper Grande Ronde River Watershed Partnership.
To address concerns related to water quality and quantity for both surface water and groundwater within the Upper Grande Ronde River Watershed (UGRRW), Union County has convened a diverse partnership composed of farmers, ranchers, fish and wildlife advocates, tribes, municipal representatives and Federal and State agencies to develop and implement a place-based integrated water resources plan consistent with the State of Oregon’s Integrated Water Resource Strategy.
